Table Merge

Stack two spreadsheets into one, or join them on a shared key column like a SQL join.

About this tool

Two tables from different sources rarely arrive pre-combined — an orders export and a customers export, both keyed by customer ID, need a join before they're one useful dataset. Stacking is the other common case: the same columns, split across two files that just need to become one.

How to use it

  1. Upload both files.
  2. Choose Stack to concatenate all rows (aligned by column name), or Join to combine them on a shared key column.
  3. For a join, pick the key column from each table and an inner (only matches) or left (keep every left row) join type.
  4. Download the result as CSV or Excel.

Examples

Joining orders to customers

orders.csv keyed by customer_id, customers.csv keyed by id
One table with every order's columns plus that customer's columns, matched by ID.

Common problems

A join produces far fewer rows than either input table.
An inner join drops any row whose key has no match on the other side — switch to a left join to keep every row from the first table, with empty cells where no match exists.
