About this tool

Markdown is easy to write and terrible to hand someone who just wants a document — a PDF is the format everyone can open. This lays out headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and code blocks with real page breaks, producing a PDF whose text is still selectable and searchable, not a screenshot of one.

How to use it

  1. Write or paste Markdown — the preview updates as you type.
  2. Press Generate PDF to render and download it.

Examples

A short report with a table

A document with two headings, a paragraph, a bullet list and a markdown table
A paginated PDF with the headings in bold at larger sizes, the table rendered as a bordered grid, and everything else laid out in reading order.

Common problems

Bold and italic text within a paragraph look like plain text with asterisks removed, not actually bold or italic.
Inline formatting is intentionally flattened to plain text rather than mixed styled runs within one line — a much larger layout problem this tool doesn't attempt to solve. Headings and code blocks do get distinct styling; inline emphasis inside a paragraph doesn't.
