About this tool

Trimming a clip means picking a start and end point and discarding everything outside it — a voice memo down to the useful ten seconds, a song clipped to its chorus, a podcast intro removed before sharing a segment.

How to use it

  1. Upload an audio file. It plays back in the built-in player so you can find the exact moments you want.
  2. Enter the start and end time in seconds — the result duration updates as you type.
  3. Press Trim to render and download the clip as a WAV file.

Examples

Keeping just the chorus

Start: 42.5, End: 68.0
A 25.5-second WAV file containing exactly that range of the original.

Common problems

The output file is much larger than the original.
WAV is uncompressed PCM audio, so it's typically several times larger than an MP3 or OGG of the same duration — this is expected, and the trade-off for not needing an MP3 encoder library at all.
