About this tool

Several voice memos that belong together, a podcast's separately-recorded segments, a set of sound effects to play as one — joining audio files usually means opening a full editor for something that's really just concatenation. This does exactly that, in the order you choose.

How to use it

  1. Upload the audio files, then reorder them using the up/down controls if needed.
  2. Press Join to decode, concatenate and see the combined duration.
  3. Download the result as a single WAV file.

Examples

Combining three voice memos

intro.m4a, main-point.m4a, outro.m4a, in that order
One WAV file with all three, back to back, no gaps or overlaps added.

Common problems

It reports a sample rate mismatch and won't join the files.
Every file is decoded at the browser's default output sample rate, so this is rare on one machine — it usually means a file was recorded or exported at an unusual rate. Re-exporting the odd one out through Audio Converter first (which decodes and re-encodes it at the same default rate) resolves it.
