POST/api/v1/pdf/form-fill

Fill a PDF's text, checkbox, radio and dropdown fields, then download it editable or flattened.

Authentication

Requires an API key in the X-API-Key header.

Parameters

pdfBase64stringrequired

Base64-encoded PDF file with an AcroForm.

modestringoptional

read returns the form fields as JSON; fill writes values and returns the PDF. Default fill.

readfill
valuesstringoptional

Field name → value (string or boolean) map. Used when mode is fill.

flattenbooleanoptional

Flatten the form after filling (no longer editable). Default true.

Response codes

  • 200Success.
  • 400Invalid request — check your body or parameters.
  • 401Missing or invalid API key.
  • 403The API key is not scoped to this endpoint.
  • 429Rate limit exceeded — retry after a short wait.
