About this tool

A shopping feed rejected by Google Merchant Center or a marketplace usually fails on something mundane — a missing required field on a handful of products, two items sharing an ID, a price field with the wrong format. Catching these before submitting saves a rejection-and-resubmit cycle.

How to use it

  1. Upload the XML feed and set the item path (the repeating element per product, e.g. rss.channel.item).
  2. Set which fields hold the id, price and URL, and list every field that must be present.
  3. Press Validate to see every issue, grouped by item.

Examples

A Google Shopping feed with one bad row

3 <item> entries under rss.channel.item, one missing its g:price field
One issue reported: item 2, field "g:price", missing required.

Common problems

"Item path not found" even though the feed clearly has products.
The item path is a dot-separated route through the parsed XML's element names — a namespaced root element, an unusual nesting, or a typo in the path breaks the lookup. Check the raw XML's actual element names and nesting depth.
